website -- FrontPage help?

Ladies,
Not sure if anyone can be of assistace, but my computer crashed and I wound up getting a newer version of Frontpage than I had had before. It's now FrontPage 2003 and I have NO idea how to use it -- it's so not user friendly and I am confused... I do my mom's website for her business and i need to update, but have no idea how to even preview the page in FP2003 -- is anyone on here familiar with it???

thanks!!

Re: website -- FrontPage help?

do you have a local copy of the website?
you can edit it in one of two ways (locally or remotely)

if you know how to use word/excel etc... you can use frontpage...

MCD ,

have you ever used FP 2003? I am so confused, it wants me to actually hard code the stuff, it's not user friendly now.... the actual website is www.somethingdifferent.cc

i wish i could help.... i only have experience with 2000... why dont you go to the local library and pick up a frontpage 2003 book?? usually the quickstart series are very easy to understand...

open frontpage..

click open...

enter

www.somethingdifferent.cc

enter username and password

then you can make changes as need. remeber to hit save all once your all done. you will see a list of web pages and files within
the site...

remember...as soon as you save it, you should see the site update in real time....
so go back to the site in a web browser and hit f5 to refresh it....

BIG NOTE!!!

if you are not sure what you are doing...save the file locally. to do this, click 'save as' before editing the page and save it someplace on your computer. you can also replace it if you have a problem.

i sleep

good luck
