ok this is my first post and im just curious, im not planning on getting married until October of 2008, but my mother and i were at fortunoffs yesterday filling out my registry...it was fun...butttttt Davids bridal was right next store and i really wanted to go try on some dresses. i didn't know u had to make and appointment but i got in anyway and i tried on many dresses along the type that i wanted and i didn't like any of them and i saw this one dress, totally not my style, normally, tried it on and loved it.....my mom wouldn't let me walk out of the store without buying it...its gorgeous....its ivory with lace on it, a lot of detail, its so beautiful...it'll take 3 months just to make it and ship here....but was it to soon to buy my wedding gown...or do u just know when u have the right one no matter how soon or late in the wedding process?

nope, def not too soon. A lot of girls on the website have purchased their gowns already. They say when you find the right dress you know it and you definitely knew it! More power to you

Fret not! I've had mine for at least a month now and I'm so happy I did because they discontinued it about a month ago!!! You did the right thing, don't worry!!

i have no idea when too soon is too soon... but if you tried it on and felt like it was 'the one' then i say go with your gut.

hey shanon, yeh i love it i just want to show everyone my dress and get everyones opinion cause i can never make any decisions myself lol but it doesnt lok the same as the one in the davids bridal magazine it looks so different on, can i do that on here, can i post my dress on and the pic from the site...or is that one of those bad luck stigmas?

I got my gown already too. Same thing happened to me - I went to David's Bridal, tried on a few gowns, and then I tried on 'the one' and I knew that dress was my wedding dress, so I had to buy it - you did the right thing!

sometimes you just have to forget what everyone says and go with your gut...
when i went to look at RHs, everyone kept telling me to look at more than one, and I did... but my head kept going back to milleridge... it was a gut feeling and FH thought the same thing.
I think looking at the other places were just to put other minds at ease.
