Wedding, 12/4/04 @ Westbury Manor...

Hi ladies, I spent the day with a friend of mine today, and she was RAVING about a wedding she went to last night (sat, 12/4/04) @ WM.

I was wondering if anybody is using/has used/is looking into using the band 'Renegade'. My friend said that this band was by far the best she has ever seen/heard, and that they made this wedding soooo much fun.

Being a newbie around here, I don't know too much about them. Expensive?

Any info?

They are VERY good...and very versatile.

They were our second choice. We did not book them though b/c they cost a lot more (approx $6800) and my father thought they were too loud, and they didn't have enough brass instruments.

You have to listen to know...everyone has different tastes w/ bands. But they are considered Long Islands top bands...

We didn't listen to Renegade (they were booked for our date), but we went with Arcadia (same management group- LI Paramount Music). They were $7200- I believe Renegade is in the same ballpark. Go to liparamountmusic.com, they have song lists.

wow guys, thanks so much for the quick responses. Unfortunately, I think they're out of our league.

We were hoping to go with a band, but I'm not sure of the quality we'll get for the money we can spend. We have plenty of time for some searching, and maybe I'll look into DJs a little more seriously too. Thanks again!

There are a lot of bands in many different price ranges. Don't give up...you can listen to a lot of bands on their websites, and go to their showcases (which are fun!). I'm not sure how booking a DJ works (if you they showcases or not?), but there are a lot of girls in this site who have DJs- I'm sure they can help you better with that.
