Can you please explain the after party to me? Is it at a club? Is it just for friends/young people or does everyone including family/parents come too?? How much do they cost??? Do you change clothes??? I need all the info....
Plus after the long day won't you be too tired? I worried about being to tired now. And you know whats supposed to go down on the wedding night!! How am I supposed to do that after that longggg day!

We are doing one at the hotel that everyone is staying at after....More time for me to wear my dress!! It can be at a club that's near your hall or at the hotel where your guests may be staying

you dont have to do an after party.
We aren't, we arent really the drinking types. we prob wont even drink at our wedding. And we know that after that long day, we are going to be exhausted.
but if you do choose to ahve one there are many options. some people go to a bar after, if their RH has a bar in it they reserve that room after. or if the hotel that many guests are staying at has a bar/club you can rent that out.
as far as clothes, you can do whatever you wish. you can wear your dress and get some more use out of it,. or you can wear another dress. maybe a white one that is less detailed and bulky.
I dont think there are really rules for this... more what you feel.

We are having the after party at the hotel associated with the hall so there is a free shuttle to and from the RH. Just make sure the hotel has a bar...a lot don't. Good luck!!!!!!!

it's usually at the hotel your guests (or you) are staying at. The hotel we're looking at has a little bar area so we'll probably be doing an after party. Although after my cousin's wedding, everyone did go to a club. I can guarantee you no one had the same outfit on as her

My parents are ordering trays of fruit, crackers & cheese etc. @ the hotel lounge next door to my RH for anyone who wants to hang out after the wedding. Nothing crazy though.

At East Wind, they keep open the bar in the Inn so you and your guests can hang out there afterwards. I definitely plan on going! I cannot wait!!! And I plan on staying in my wedding gown.

Us too!! Its one of the reasons we picked East Wind. And I'm keeping my dress on all night-- well, until we get into the room, of course

Having an after party is totally up to you! We are having an afternoon wedding and felt like it would be weird at 5 o'clock for everyone to just go home so my FMIL is having almost everyone back to her house (she lives in a beautiful house on the water with a pool & bar..). If we were getting married at night we probably wouldn't do anything afterwards. It totally depends on you and what you want though, but nobody's expecting it so don't feel obligated!!
