Wedding After Party

Wedding After Party

Are you ladies having an after party? Are you going to pay to keep the bar open at the hotel you are staying at or go somewhere else?

FH has been talking about this alot recently so I am looking into it. I am not sure I really want an after party though, I feel like I am going to be SO exhausted and will just want to spend the time after with my new husband. I know we should def. live it up and party but at the same time it is going to be almost 1am by the time we get to the hotel so i am not sure how many ppl will stick around to party with us. Anyhow just wondering what everyone else is planning?

I wanted to do this, but it is not really in our budget, I want to try to figure something out though! Sorry this was not really helpful!

we really wanted to..but our hotel has a no party policy and we figured wedding ends at 1230 and by the time we say goodbye get ready it will be late and we still all have to get in a limo(which would be more money)and go to a bar or something..so we said forget it..we figure whoever stays in the hotel with us can party in our room for a bit

I didnt have the money to do it myslef...the whole wedding was over budget. I have a very outspoken uncle who 'passed the hat' around and they got enough moeny for the bar to stay open and the dj to play and extra 2 hours!!!

Our wedding will be over by 6 so it's a lot different. We will meet people downstairs by the bar at the hotel a little later on if they want to hang out (which reminds me... I guess I need another outfit!) but are not doing anything special and are not paying for it.

The bar in our hotel will stay open as long as there are people drinking. We don't have to pay them to stay open. We aren't paying for guests' drinks after the wedding.

We figure we'll go to the bar and see everyone but don't know how long we'll last before we go up to our room. Our wedding ends at midnight and it will be at least 12:30 before we get back to the hotel.

I highly doubt it. We don't have a lot of young guests that would appreciate one, and I don't even think we're staying in the hotel we have rooms blocked in, so for us...we'd much rather go home. I'm the kind of person that would LOVE to go to someone else's after party, but not necessarily have my own lol.

My wedding ends at 1:00 am and we are getting a party bus from 1- 4:00 am we got a great deal - I figured what the hell you only do it once - and yes I will be wearing my dress no matter where we go

we are having a night wedding so we are keeping the bar open at the hotel for an extra 3 hours. they are charging us 150 for it. Although I might not be at the bar the whole time i wanted it to stay open for all the guests staying at the hotel..most will be our friends and they like to party haha

our wedding is over at 5 cause we are having a daytime wedding. we booked a VIP party for guests at the local Bowling alley! so super excited and then we will end up at the hotel bar for the night.

I totally agree with you but my dearest, darling FH booked an after party at the hotel we will be staying at. He blocked rooms as well because we are going to have quite a bit of OOTers from VA, upstate, and elsewhere. FMIL already plans to spend the night and she is from LI. I totally hear ya about being exhausted. Our reception ends at midnight and the after party (cash bar that we'll likely be buying a few rounds) will be for 2 hours. I know we'll have the next day to relax but... I want our wedding night to be *special* too if ya know what mean. A friend of mine said it's not going to happen but I want it to happen. Ah well... it's FH's wedding too. This is what he wanted.

Our hotel had a bar that was staying open but our guests brought sooo much alcohol that we stayed outside in the pool area FOREVER just partying and having a good time. Luckily none of the other guests complained. We ordered a bunch of pizza pies and made our own after party

We are doing an hour after the wedding in a seperate room in the RH. Im inviting back the ppl that stayed in hotel, and close fam and friends. Prolly about 60 ppl. By then, ill be shot.

I am staying in a hotel the night before and day of wedding. I am inviting people to my suite because the wedding ends at 5:30pm. I will be shot though...

We're not scheduling something per se. . .reception ends at 6 pm, so I'm sure people will just hang out at the hotel bar afterwards!

Our reception ends at midnight and then we'll shuttle everyone back to the hotel we're staying at. The bar should still be open so it will be informal, but I probably won't want the night to end so I'll be partying!
