Wedding attire....

Do you all know what your FMIL is wearing?
Is it bad thatI don't even care??
She keeps coming out with outragous colors, one sholudered dresses that are NOT flattering, and I just dont have the energy...
She stresses me out WAY too much.....Just curious!

Have yours discussed this with youo or FH at all?

I have talked to FMIL and have given her like 3 colors that she must choose from. I also plan on approving the dress before it is bought.

She told me about some grey dress that she'll either wear to FH and our wedding or to FSIL's wedding...I didn't ask anything about it, because she didn't ask anything about mine.

Well, I'd rather not be asked about mine than to be commanded that I bring her for mine!

Yeah, I just keep ignoring that one!

Yup, FMIL showed me a pic of the dress she wants and showed me the color. I'm fine with it. She hasn't tried it on yet though, so we'll see if that's really what she goes with.

Actually, I think I may be going shopping with FMIL for her dress ...... my FSIL lives in Italy so she can't take her so I have no problem taking her around. If she happens to find something when I am not there, I am sure she will show me and want my opinion on it anyway.....

no....i just told her that she can't wear black, pink or white bc those are my colors. Other than that she can wear what she wants...and i think she will wear something pretty/tasteful.

FMIL has not yet started looking. She is great though... I have no worries when it comes to her attire. Actually I am more concerned about my own mother's dress!!

Re: Wedding attire....

FMIL asked me about colors and I said no navy blue, white or red. She told me she considered wearing a dress that she already owned and of course, it's navy. She then showed it to me and I sooooo wish I could scan the pic... it's a full length long sleeve velvet dress with the most intricate and obnoxious 1980s beading on the top. UGH!

THANKFULLY, FFIL told her NO and to buy a new dress for her son's wedding. BIG shoutout to FFIL for being normal for once.

I havent spoke to her about it... I would like to help her pick it out because shes so insecure and feels like we dont get her involved... and I plan on bringing her to davids bridal so she can get the discount too...

I dont really care what color she gets or what type... i just want it to look good on her...

Re: Wedding attire....

one day at work, she wore a blue top (not a bright blue nor a navy, but something in between) & everyone kept saying how nice it looked on her.

so the next day she came over to me & asked if my mom went dress shopping yet. so i told her no. (my mom is super picky & wants to loose weight first) then FMIL asked me to call my mom & ask if it was ok if she looked for a dress in this specific blue color family.

i didn't expect anything different from my FMIL.
