Wedding Baby sitter????

On Saturday Oct. 8th, its my sister in law's wedding. DH and I are in the wedding party and DS is a ring bearer. We had an all day sitter for DS set up but she recently canceled. Here is the VERY tentative schedule.

12:30pm - start at our house in Brooklyn, NY 11228. Give him lunch and dress him in his tux.
2pm walk him to St. Bernadette's, 2 blocks away.
2:30pm the mass is scheduled to start. After he walks down the aisle; take him outside to run around and play in the garden. I doubt he will sit thru a mass and ceremony.
3:30pm, pictures at the church then back to our house. Hangout until its time to leave.
5:30pm leave for the reception in Babylon, NY (Long Island).
Watch him at the reception in the room and/or the bridal suite.
12:00am end of day!

Its $200 for the 12-hour day plus dinner at the reception. We can also cover any expenses as far as gas/etc. Its a long day and I have no idea how he will be.

DS has PDD-NOS and does not speak so I need someone with experience with it. He will be 21 months at the time of the wedding.

I'd like to meet the person in advance and have them watch him a few hours here and there ($10-12 an hour) leading up the event so he has a relationship with them.

Thanks!

Re: Wedding Baby sitter????

I saw this on LIF and was going to respond but
I have 2 girls I'm using from Tutor Time for my wedding. Their sisters and amazing girls properly trained in taking care of small children. One is going to Stonybrook for her masters and the other just started college. They do live a little far from Brooklyn though so not sure if they would be willing to drive that far but they seem eager for money to get themselves through college.
FM if you want more info.

Re: Wedding Baby sitter????

I can do it. I have recently completed my master's in school psychology. During graduate school I worked in a daycare as a teacher and completed my externship in a special needs preschool. I live in bayridge, Brooklyn. The only issue is that I only have a car during the week so I can drive to you prior to the day to meet him, but I would need someone to drive me on the day of the wedding. You can email me at [email protected] or phone me at 718-909-7693

Thank you,
Julia
