My jeweler is suggesting I look into a 3/4 diamond wedding band as opposed to a full eternity band. His main reasoning behind this is that 3/4 bands can later be resized and full eternity would need an entirely new setting.
Once I left him I started to wonder if the diamonds could ever get damaged on a full eternity... has this happened to anyone
That might give me another good reason to go 3/4 since I don't want to be paranoid every time I whack my ring.
I just wanna have the rings bought already!!

I have heard that 3/4 or 1/2 around are better because w/ the full eternity the diamonds/metal on the bottom can get discolored over time... but you would think it would turn so I don't really know how true that is? I went with a 1/2 around.... i just liked it better with my ering!
But that is very true about the sizing too! It could save you some headache down the road :)

I always thought that one of the benefits of an eternity band is that if it spins, it doesn't matter because it'll look the same regardless of its position. So if you're going to do 3/4, keep in mind it might that the underneath part might be visible occasionally if it moves around.
I would say go with the eternity, but that's JMO. Sure you really won't be able to resize it, but maybe you could go 1/4 or 1/2 ring size bigger? Your e-ring should keep it anchored. I wouldn't worry too much about the stones falling out; a LOT of women have eternity bands and I don't know of any of them losing stones.

I was contemplating that same issue but eventually went with a full eternity band. I chose that for a couple of reasons. One, the stones should be set well enough that they don't move. Two, the wedding bands spin and if it isn't diamonds all the way around you will have to adjust it as the band moves on your hand. I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you choose, but I'm a fan of the full eternity.
