So, we are surprising eachother with our wedding bands and I am nervous what to get him!
He's not going to wear it ever, but still want him to love it that day!!!
So, I need tips. Any difference between getting him platinum versus gold?
I'm unsure about the millimeters.... can anybody tell me what their FH's got... He's a good sized guy, so I don't want it 'lost' on his finger, if you know what I mean!!!!
Anyone know what 'comfort fit' means?

my FH got a titanium ring. he likes it because it is very light. he also likes that he can stop bullets with it. yeah.... like thats ever going to happen.

I got Jake a platium band- it's HUGE- b/c he is so big
it's about 1CM and it's heavy
he still needs to get used to it
edited- I didn't read my ruler correct- it's a CM not an MM- TGIF!

FH got a 7mm wide ring, he's a size 14 so our concern was also that we didn't want it to get 'lost' on his finger. It's white gold, unfortunately I don't have a pic. I'll post one as soon as we pick them up tho!!

John got white gold (whereas mine is platinum). He didn't like that the platinum was heavy on his hands. The jeweler said that white gold will hold up well. As for the mm, I have no idea! There's a pic of John's ring in my album if you want to see it.

fh tried on titanium - it was super light and SUPEr affordable
i saw titanium ones for $50 at Burligton coat factoy- brushed look- very nice and subtle thats what we will probably get

FH's ring is 8mm wide, size 15, white gold. Mine are platinum, but to get his in platinum instead of white gold would have cost waaaaaay more than I could afford.
This is the only pic I have of his ring at the moment.
Fh and I got plain platinum comfort fit bands at 4mm in width. I got mine in a size 5 1/4 and FH's is an 11. FH wanted platinum because he wanted the color to stay. Platinum doesnt yellow. It may dull or need buffing, but it is a pure white metal and stays that way. Here is a picture of my hand with my e-ring and band together as well as pictures of what they supposed to look like alone.
This was DH's ring as well. It's white gold (mine is platinum) and about 6MM. He picked it out himself and loves it. These are the pics I have of it...we didn't do the 'rings shot' as DH was opposed to almost every posed pic...and I don't blame him I too hate posing!

Wow, your FHs have large hands compared to mine!
He's a size 7 1/2 and I think it was a 6mm or 7mm in yellow and white gold. (Platinum and white gold didn't look right on him since he's pale, so we stuck with mostly yellow gold)

I think the comfort fit rings are the ones that are rounded around the rim to make it ...well..more comfortable..lol. I didin't do such a good job of explaining it but I think that is it. lol

Me and FH liked a titanium ring too until the jeweler said if his fingers ever swell they would have to cut the ring off. Needless to say he didn't go with that one.

We have comfort fit rings. They are more rounded on the INSIDE. They do fit more comfortably than a flat fit but they are a drop more expensive I think because they simply use more metal!
