We want to take a trip to the city for wedding bands. Has anyone bought their bands there and could you suggest where to go? We are clueless with the city and don't want to get ripped off. TIA

I second that... we want to take a trip in too, but are unsure where to go. Friends of ours went to meet some guy. They had to wait outside, then call someone else who called the guy to tell him they were there. It was a dark creepy place, from what they say... heck, maybe they made that up!

Go to the Diamond District on 47th street between 5th and 6th. Its a whole block of just Jewelers and you get pretty good deals from them!!

When FH gets back from softball i'll ask him where he got my e-ring. Many of our friends have used the saem guy and have been extremely pleased with his work/prices, etc... I know he's in Manhatten but i'm not sure where. I'll post later.

FH got the engagement ring there and we will go there for bands. I think on 47th street. There are a bunch of stores. They do wait for someone to bring the diamonds but that's b.c they don't leave them in the store (that's what they do with engagment rings)

many people don't know about the jewlwry exchange at tri-county in levittown. most of the jewlers are city vendors and they have incredible diamonds. i got my engagement ring and both fh and i got our wedding bands there. if you are interested, ill email you pics of all of the rings and give you two names of people i use. have fun!

If you're interested in a really good jewler ... ours is fantastic. He works out of a smaller shop & you might go right past him. We compared our price to others in that area & he was definitely the best. And I couldn't be happier with the quality of the diamonds or the work.

We got my e-ring & our bands from the Diamond District - Shenoa & Co. - ask for Victoria, think she's only in on the weekends tho
