Let's Rap about the shape of your band. (The one on your hand, not the one in your hall.)
My e-ring is set very high and is sort of a strange shape. In order to have a band that sits completely flush with it, I will need to have little crevices made in it. But, if the crevices are as deep as the jeweler says they will be, I can't wear the band alone - it will look funny. But then I think, 'When will i ever want to wear the band and not the e-ring!?' Maybe if I was traveling...?
I have tried on a regular band with no crevices, and there is only a little space between the two - but somehow it bothers me they are not flush.
Do you have a band that is flush with your ring? Have you even thought about this? Will you wear your band without your e-ring ever? Am I being obsessive about this? Because that is entirely possible.

Re: Wedding Band Physics
I will start off by saying that I thought this post had something to do with figuring out how to put a 9 piece band on a tiny stage, when your band including heavier people.
But I digress..
My e-ring too does not sit flush with any bands.. I have an antique setting- and my only option would be to get a curved band.. In my days of 'before expecting an e-ring anytime in the near future'.. I used to wear funky silver rings and stuff.. Now, I am confined to my one ring..
So, my plan is to get a slightly thicker wedding band- and always wear separate, as I am a mulit-ring girl at heart.. MAYBE I will get a plain band with the curve in the event I want to wear the two rings together-- but, that's a future purchase. From looking around though- NOTHING fits with my band-- I am just going to have to suck it up and never wear them together.. It;s a small price to pay for how much I love my e-ring.
Sorry- was that too long-- did it help??

There is a company called Whitehouse Brothers that makes curved bands to fit antique engagement ring settings. Is it an art deco ring per chance?

Re: Wedding Band Physics
amy-- here is my ring..
I am happy to get a band that I will not be wearing with my e-ring.. I am looking for a vintage style band- probably will get something custom made as I have found anything perfect yet..
