wedding bands

if you do not min me asking, how much did you spend on your wedding bands. i am looking at an eternity band with emerald cut baguettes and am getting prices in the $4000 range.

i wanted it to match my e-ring (which is an emerald cut w/2 emerald cut baguettes on either side) but at that price, i don't know.

is this normal?

$4K is a lot for a wedding band, but that's just because I am poor. LOL! We spent a total of $1000 for both rings.We both got diamond bands.

Just FYI-emerald cut is the most expensive cut you can get. Actually, I am not sure if ascher cut is more or less. Anyway, cut could account for the high price tag.

Eternity bands are expensive and princess cut stones are more $$ than round diamonds so that could account for the high price. We got our rings at a place in the diamond district. Both are platinum and mine has 6 princess cut diamonds embedded in the ring evenly spaced around the ring ($550). My FH has fat fingers (size 11) so his ring was a lot more that mine. He got plain platinum, 7 mm thick ($1000).
