My wedding is Aug 2nd..I am wondering when is the best time to start looking for rings..I know the ring I want...also...where is a affordable place to find wedding bands..can I trust these online places like next tag...please help! also can you post pics of the wedding bands you are all getting??

It's a personal preference. Do you have enough to buy it now? Would you feel better if you got it right away? If I were you, I would shop around for prices. Best place to buy addordable rings is Tri County and the NYC. I have some good places I could suggest to you. Also, try Good Old Gold. A lot of girls get their rings from there and I have heard nothing but good things. As far as online places- Overstock and Blue Nile are reputable. If you are getting diamonds on your band, make sure you know about diamond quality. If you need help, I can let you know. My Dad used to do jewelery so I know ALOT about it. HTH!
I think you can really buy them whenever...the prices change constantly so who knows if its worth waiting or not. I just got mine...(in album with ering) and got it where FH got the ering. It was pricey but only because I wanted to match the flawless diamonds on the ering band. there are many reputable online store definitely...i just think that obviously the less expensive places have lower grade diamonds but honestly...with small stones on a band....unless you need a PERFECT match...you cant tell the difference!

FH bought my wedding band at Lundstrom at the Smithhaven Mall. They are going out of business so we got a sick deal!

I bought mine and FH's last month and got an amazing deal from Whitehall since they are ready to close up shop any day now... mine is plat w. diamonds and FH's is plain white gold and we paid around 1k for both!

FH and I got our at the jeweler that FH got my e-ring from and Tony gave us a great deal we pd $500 for both. Mine is white gold & diamonds, FH is tungsten (FH is a shipping managers and needed somthing very hard).
You can go whenever. FH and I are actually going to look in a couple of minutes during my lunch break. I personally would rather get them sooner than later because I want to space out the cost of everything!! Def. shop around for a good price, with the holidays alot of places are having sales so that might help!! I am sure they will probably do that around valentines day too.

Us too! I got a plain white gold band for super cheap, and FH got a white gold and diamond band for a really great deal as well. My wedding is in August as well so we were going to wait until the summer but the prices were so amaing that we just couldn't pass them up! HTH

We went looking a few weeks ago and ended up buying them on the spot becasue it was a good deal. We got them from the jeweler FH bought my E-ring from. WE are picking them up tomorrow becasue FH's was special order since it cannot be sized.....I will post pics after we get them.
I say look whenever you have the $ becasue you might find what you want and at a great price and you don't want to wait becasue the deal may not be there next time.

You really don't have to buy it until about 2 months before - and that's enough time even if you want a custom-made band.
If you want something very exact and see it, but are afraid you will never find it again, then buy it now. Otherwise, in my opinion, why spend so much money on something that will just sit for months and months on end? And if you buy an expensive band (diamond eternity, for instance) you'll be paying insurance on it for months before you even wear it. But that's the practical side of me talking.

My wedding weekend is August 1&2. I actually just started looking for wedding bands. I will get them from the Jeweller where FH purchased my engagement ring so it matches.

Mine is in July and I already got my ring. We had a small bit of drama from the rings so I decided to get what I wanted and stop looking lol. Its perfect and Im happy with it. If you're the kind of person who keeps looking after you buy something consider waiting because you dont want to regret your decision! :)

We are wedding date twins!!! We are planning on buying weddings bands for each other as a christmas gift this year. We figured there are a lot of sales now b/c of the holidays and it will save us even more if we combine it as a christmas gift/wedding expense. FH isn't crazy about the fact that he is getting 'jewelry' for christmas, but too bad! :P
