How far in advance is everyone getting their wedding bands?

im probably gonna go like 4 mths before the wedding bc i am having mine custom made, but otherwise you can get them whenever!

FH & I went to look a couple of weeks ago so we would know how much we would be in for. luckily we did, i think i may need to get a second job to buy FHs.

i am going to go back probably in March to actually purchase FHs. the ones we picked are in stock at the store & the sizes we need are as well. i am going to make him go in March also (mine will be a surprise on the day of the wedding).

knowing my FH he will wait until the day before to go. yes he goes shopping the day before Christmas & wants to know why the lines are so long.

Sometime next summer, so i guess about 4 months before. We're having them both custom made. Plus my b-day is in the summer so if i time it right we can buy a nice b-day present for me too!!

I just asked my jeweler this question last week and she said even if we want it custom made we only need 2- 2 1/2 months before. So thats when we'll be getting ours. I don't wanna go any sooner just in case I change my mind.

for everyone getting a custom band, where are you going to get them from? i want to get a custom band to match me e-ring which was also custom but i don't want to go back to the original jewelery that made my e-ring.

We got our bands around Valentines day the jewelry store was having a half off diamonds sale!! Which was great i got my band for only $1800 and Fh's for only $1000

We lucked out big time... but everyday i want to put it on lol

We'll probably start looking around Christmas time to see if we can get some decent deals. I'm getting mine custom made though, so I doubt we'll get a bargain on it. I'm getting it from Leder's Jewelers in Rockville Centre. They're the same people that did my e-ring and they're wonderful. Since my e-ring is a marquis, I want something that will fit properly with it.
