FH and I were talking last night to my grandmother and FH threw out the idea that he may want to surprise me with my wedding band the day of my wedding....
I am not worried about what kind of ring he will choose and I know that it will match b/c he is getting my band at the same place where he got my e-ring...
I am excited at the thought that the first time i will see my ring is when he puts it on my finger, it will already be emotional moment and that will just add onto the emotion.... but the anticipation may just kill me
He is not 100% positive yet, but as of right now he is really considering surprising me.
What is ur girls takes on this.... would u want to be surprised with how ur wedding band will look?

I wouldn't just because I would want to see how it looks on my finger with my E-ring, and if it's comfortable, and all that....plus I really enjoyed going ring shopping for both rings with FH, it was really nice and felt really special to look together and look at both rings together, both on our hands....it made it feel really real
That's just my personal preference though, he certainly could have chosen the band I got on his own, and probably would have chosen exactly what I got, but I just enjoyed the experience too much!

tho FH did a great job gettign exactly what i wanted for my E-ring....i didnt want something that matched my ring exactly! i wanted something different so i picked it out myself...i wouldnt want him to do that. Its a great thing that your FH wants to surprise you i think its really sweet.....but i wouldnt want my FH doing that lol

But then you don't have the fun of trying it on and wearing it around the house before you put it away!

Its a sweet thought and if you are ok with it then go for it. I went with FH to pick mine out. I wanted to go bc i wanted to have them size me again bc my e-ring is 4.5 and its not loose but i can turn it all around like nothing and moves around so wanted to see if i should get my band a size 4

we went together. i actually changed my e-ring setting at the same time b/c fh got it pretty close but the band was a little too thick and channel and I wanted more pave. I also knew that I'm picky because I don't like too much bling and if i wanted to wear them together I wanted both bands to be really thin.
that said, i love the idea of seeing my wedding band for the first time, but considering i changed my e-ring setting, probably not a good idea for me!

See that is also what i was thinking about... my e-ring is still a little big on me, and i even had balls put in.... didnt want to make it any smaller b/c of my knuckles.... aside from me wanting to wear my wedding band and show u girlies b/4 the wedding, i really want to make sure it fits nice and snug.... especially since i am going to be wearing it on the honeymoon!

It's a romantic thought, and the surprise might be nice...
Also your FH technically will not be putting the ring on your finger...your koumbaro and the priest will be doing that. And both rings will be in plain site on the table in front of you before the rings are placed on your fingers...so you'll actually see it as soon as you reach the end of the aisle.

I think its a great idea if FH wants to surprise you with the wedding band. I'm sure if he's going to the same jeweler as your E-ring, that they would have an idea of what your e-ring looks like and your finger size, so you can't go wrong!
I wish my FH had thought of that!! we just purchased our wedding bands this past weekend

Personally I couldn't A. wait, B. stand the surprise. I hate surprises. I need to know it fits, looks right with my ering and I didn't get to pick out my ering, I should at least get to pick out my band.
