Are your parents sad because you are getting married? Not unhappy but just sad.

No, but I haven't lived at home in a long time. I think FMIL kinda feels that way about FH though. She loves me and the fact that we're getting married, but I don't think she wants him to leave the nest.

But sorry lady, it's time, he'll be 28!!

i think that my parents are happy to get rid of me but are sad that it is not my older sister..my dad to my face said that he would spend money for that!...but i say who gives a fuk

Yes very..my dad will be crying and so will my mom..they do if we hear certain songs, even when I got the invites they did lol..We are just a very close family and it will be a very emotional day for all of us

My parents are already planning what they are doing with my room oy! They deep down inside are probably very sad I'm leaving soon.

I think they are sad but happy too! My dad keeps telling me I can change my mind at any time, its just money. He told me he will continue to ask me that up until the big day!
In the end they are happy for me. They aren't losing me, they are gaining a son-in-law! And they do tell me what they could do to my room when I get married! A walk in closet! lol

My parents are sad their 'little girl' is leavng. I live with my paretns and have NEVER left home... I am the only daugther they have... So Even thought they are Extremely happy for me bc i found the one, a good man who really loves me... Deep down they are sad bc I am leaving Home...

i think ti affected them more when i moved out then actually getting married

then wanted to make sure i was doing it for the right reason tho cause we werent together long when i found out i pregnant but i love him so they are happy

My dad is sad...he loves FH but is upset that his first daughter is leaving and getting married...

but tonight at the table he said something really cute to me...(it was just my family for thanksgiving and Fh wasn't over yet)..he said that he wants us to go for dance lessons for our first dance to make it extra special..but im not allowed to tell anyone else so its a surprise lol ..aww daddy

nope... both are parents are very happy for us. I could see if we both still lived at home and we were 'leaving the nest' so to speak how it would be a little upsetting for the parentals but FH and I have been living together for over 2 years now so they are happy for us.
