Wedding/Bridal Shower list!

Wedding Guest list is around 280. WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE!!!!!
I heard that there is a percentage of 'No's you get .. do you guys know?

Bridal shower list: 100!!!! WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE! It is so iron-clad though because it is mostly all family!!

I've been told that generally around 20 percent of the people invited end up being No's. We have a lot of out of town guests though, so I'm expecting more like 30 percent No's.

I heard for the wedding it might be a 10-15% chance of cancellations from your main list.

As far as your shower its a fair number according to the amount of people you're inviting. But it all depends on you. My mom & FSIL are taking care of my bridal shower and I think they're mainly keeping it for immediate family and friends..not inviting everyone

we looked at our list last night and it is SO much longer than we planned. It made me nauseous looking at the price difference from what we said to what we might have to pay. 30% not coming would be awesome lol. I've heard standard like 20%

we have a guest list of 278 right now lol- and 92 on the shower list! AND that was after cutting out like 30-40 people from the shower list hah

If it makes you feel better, we invited 206 and had about 125 people come to the wedding. Typical is about 15% no's.

My guest list is 285. We already know about 5 or 6 people not coming but my future in-laws are already asking if they can invite replacements for them! It's going to be crowded. I think my shower will be big too. I know my list was about 60 and that doesn't include who my future mother in law wanted to invite.

I have heard anywhere from 10%-20%. but I've also been told it depends on your guests too. if u have allot of out of towners they may not travel, or is maybe b to close to a holiday for them to afford to travel things like that. I didn't even think about my shower guest list! we r inviting about 200.... I hope it's not too big of a shower list!

I actually was very pleased with what I got the Shower list number down to.. From a 150 invites going out.. (so maybe a little less than that is the total of women I am inviting to my wedding) our famillies and my closest friends only I got the shower list down to 52!

I did not include nor would I let moms invite their friends to this.. To me this is more intimate.. I made my list and gave it to my MOH's. I told the mothers this expense is on my girls It is immediate famillies and my closest friends ONLY.. Thats it. No peeps luckily..

I only had 3 nos out of the 125 that I invited to my engagement party, so I'm a little nervous!

I have the same problem right now and it's driving me crazy!!! My mother's side of the family is 164 people - between my other side of the family, FH family and our very select group of friends, we're at 264 and I'm not happy about it. My shower list is at 100 people because my family is so large - I really didn't want my mom to have to go to such a great expense and I feel awful about it. I called my hall today and they told me that depending on the time of year, typically 15% will say no.
