How much are you spending on your wedding, not including your honeymoon. It should include everything from your dress to your favors.

Re: Wedding Budget Poll!
LOL....I think the ranges are a bit low. I am pretty sure that half (or more) of the brides here are spending more than 25k

Oh, sorry. I just never thought anyone would be spending more than $25K. I couldn't imagine a wedding that costs that much.

Are you from here?
I'm just kidding! No, seriously, your numbers are definitely on the low side... the price of the average NY wedding has gone up significantly. Not that us brides are happy about it But I think the average nowadays is somewhere between $30 - $35K if not higher.

You managed to stay under $12,000 including reception, photo/video, music, flowers, favors, limos, etc.? That is amazing! It seems like every little thing is between $3,00-5,000 like photo, music, flowers, etc. Have you booked all of that yet?

Re: Wedding Budget Poll!
i had originally budgeted 10,000 for my wedding, now the budget for my wedding is about 20,000 plus what mine and his family are paying for, so total wedding budget a little over 25,000

Re: Wedding Budget Poll!
It's do-able. I budgeted 15,000 and I came in very close to budget when all was said and done.

Re: Wedding Budget Poll!
We have booked Leonard's as our ceremony/reception hall, A&S Whitestone as our Florist so far.
We have are about to sign contracts with a DJ, Photographer, Limo, Officiant, Invitations and Favors which all fit into our budget.
The only things we have that may make us go over our budget are wedding party gifts and our rings.

Re: Wedding Budget Poll!
We're looking to keep it under $20,000 for about 160 people. Judging from the DJ, photo quotes we're looking at, we should be able to stick to the budget. But, we're getting bouquet flowers wholesale from a family friend (table centerpieces are included in our catering price) and we're also getting a deal on the invites, with my FMIL doing the calligraphy, and I'm likely getting a $3000 dress copied by a seamstress friend...so point being, we are only able to stick to this budget due to finding shortcuts and utilizing the services of family/friends. As they say, where there's a will...

Re: Wedding Budget Poll!
Our original budget was $30k (and we are paying ourselves). But then both our fathers died and we've thrown budget to the wind, because we think we (and our families) deserve a great celebration after the last year of grief.
We'll probably hit closer to $35k not counting our honeymoon.

Re: Wedding Budget Poll!
I guess my wedding was on the cheap side as well, I stayed under 15,000. I'd say it was closer to the 10,000 maybe a little above. And from what all my guests said and from what I think - I had the most beautiful wedding and I could not be happier!

Re: Wedding Budget Poll!
I am planning my wedding from 3000 miles away (currently, I live in Calgary). With the internet, I managed to save so much money. My FH and I are grad students and we won't be paying over $10,000 (and that includes another reception in the Seattle area for his family).
