Wedding Cake

I was wondering whether most people use the wedding cake from the hall or get their own from a place that specializes in wedding cakes.

Audrey's bakery supplies the cakes for Flowerfield, so I am using them. It is included in our price.

Me too Christy! I will get the basic one they provide because I need to not go over budget on ANYTHING else LOL

I did not use the hall's bakery for my cake. I wanted a very specialized design, so I went to a very talented baker - Cynthia Piethman, Cakeline Couture. I *highly* recommend her...she is an artist!

here is a picture of our wedding cake. Our reception was at West Lake Inn (another Lovin' Oven place) and the bakery was Audrey's. The cake was sooooo good!! We even had it on our first anniversary and it wasnt that bad!

I'm going to stick to the one my hall offers. I've gone over budget on everything else. I really can't afford this extra expense.

I'm going to use the one provided. Audrey's bakery also supplies the cake for my hall.

I went with the cake my hall made and I had my florist decorate it. I loved my cake and it was really good too.

My sister is duplicating a wedding cake my Mother made. She is going to make it for me. She is so sweet.

We spent so much on so many other things that were higher on my priority list I didnt want to spend any more money on my cake. I knew my reception site had a less than stellar reputation about making complicated cakes so we choose soemthing really simple.

I am using the hall's baker as well because it is inlcuded, but for an additional fee ($75) I can choose a 'fancier' cake.

We used the halls baker but didn't select the style from the book. We brought a few pics and made our own design. It worked out great!

We also had our cake included in our reception by Lovin Oven and it was so good too! Chocolate with chocolate mousse and whipped cream with a swiss dot design.
