I went to the Swan Club today to discuss the cake, and I am extremely unhappy with what they offered. Can anyone give me a ball park on what a wedding cake costs?
The cake I want is pretty simple. Not too much detailing....any ideas??

Re: Wedding cake
If your RH is offering a cake find out what bakery they are using. Most of the time you r able to go to the bakery and upgrade and you only have to pay the difference.

Can't you ask Swan Club for a different design and pay for it through them?

exactly. Our cake is offered in our package and we have 2 bakeries we can choose from. When we go meet with the bakeries we are going to ask them to show us what we can get in our package and we opt for something that may cost a little extra, we'll just throw in the extra cost.

Re: Wedding cake
Nope. I tried. They have 3 types of cake, just so many options for filling (only 1 allowed) and they don't do fondant, just whipped cream and me and FH hate whipped cream

Re: Wedding cake
The other thing with the Swan club is if you want a Fondant cake you HAVE to use an outside vendor. Only thing is for any other vendor beside Leonetti's they charge you a cake cuting fee. Not to mention, any other baker beside Leonetti's, the Swan Club will not store anyone elses cake. I believe that it has to be delivered right before the event. I have an appointment with them on Saturday to discuss this as well. I also made an appointment with Leonetti's to see what they have and what their prices run.

I'm not too sure about the cake cutting fee. When I went to see them a few weeks ago to possibly book, I made sure I told them I was NOT using an in house or vendor of thier choice cake person. I asked about the cake cutting fee and they told me there wasn't one.

Yea, they told me about Leonetti's. I have no idea what cakes run price wise. I was thinking of calling them too.
When are you going to see them? Maybe you could share your info
