Wedding Cake

Where is everyone getting their wedding cakes from? How much is the average price?
I've been thinking of possibly getting a fake cake and putting out a sheet cake for the guests. What do you all think?

I'm getting mine at the RH. All of the places I checked out provided them so I think I'm going to go that route and then maybe get a groom's cake as surprise for my FH.

RH provides cake from Bonne Boulagerie in Port Jefferson, we're picking out all the details and paying a little more for what we want..

MacCayla Michaels Desserts. Don't let the website fool you. He is doing my cake, surprise groom's cake and did an hour tasting and I left with a full 7 inch cake that was delish.

If we go with the RH that I think we're going to go with (it's in NJ), then our cake comes from Palermo's Bakery.

Re: Wedding Cake

Ours is done through the RH, but we went & met witht he bakery on our won - Black Forest Bakery in Lindenhurst. They made us a sample cake of the flavors we wanted (cake, frosting & fillings as it would be that day) and it was great.
