Wedding Cake Ideas (update with pics from the weekend)

Hi,
What flavor cake are you guys getting?? I need ideas!!

I had lemon cake with raspberry filling on Friday night and it was DELISH...

Then on Saturday night had vanilla/white cake with cookies and cream filling...here is the photo from Wedding Cake #2

They were both DELICIOUS!!

However, I saw this picture just now...I think this is how I want my cake to look!!

HOLLA!

ps. I will post pictures of the cakes I had later this week!

Not sure yet because it comes with the hall and don't know what my choices are. However I know I want something traditional looking and pretty simple, but who knows once I see my choices

Not 100% until we do a tasting but I'm thinking of going with Devil's Food chocolate cake with Cookies & Cream filling with Buttercream frosting.

For the groom's cake I'm going to go with Red Velvet cake because FH really loves it.

mmm sounds good!!

What I found was that by dessert time I was REALLY full with all the courses/food etc so the best cake out of the two was the lighter one (lemon) with raspberry... I saw a lot of plates of cake uneaten at the 2nd wedding because it was almost too much..
