Does anyone know how much a wedding cake goes for? We opted out with our venue since we read so many bad reports on the cake from their bakery.

no but I'd prob start calling the more popular ones to get a quote. It varies on size and icing and possibly how many fillings you want to. Try calling Dortoni's for a quote.

I Loooooooove Dortoni's!!!! got a 3 tiered fondant cake for up to 100 people, $400! Leonards was quoting me $675 for the same style. And if anyone knows Dortoni's, knows they have Aaaamazing and delicious cakes!!!

we got ours - 4 tiers, 3 flavors, fondant and heavily decorated from Leonetti's in Greenvale. they quoted us $650 and i couldn't have been happier. he's also giving us 2 mock up tiers for tasting and decorating. and a year from our wedding, we can exchange our frozen cake for a fresh one :) Black forest wanted $875 for the same cake; cake boss wanted closer to $2,000!
I AM USING RH BAKERY BUT FOR DESIGN IDEAS I WENT TO DIFFERENT BAKERYS...AT DORTONI'S THR DESIGNS WERE ELEGANT AND SEEMED VERY FAIR IN PRICE...I GOT QUOTED $1200 FOR A CAKE 5-TIERS/ENOUGH FOR 200 PEOPLE, DIFFERENT FLAVORS AND FULL BLOWN DECORATIONS
