Don't most reception halls include a wedding cake in your package?
Are you buying a cake elsewhere? If so, are they outrageously expensive?

I'm getting mine with the venue, COTG, when I looked at cakes everything I liked was over $1000, so I decided to go with the Carlyle cake.

I was going to get my cake from Ferrara's in little italy (my dads good friend is the manager) - but the hamlet's pastry chef is so good that I couldn't not use her! We'll get a cake and pastries from ferrara's for the RD.

We are getting it at the Reception Hall, we tasted it at the showcase and we really liked it.

Mines included in the price. If I decide to get a cake from outside the hall then I get a $1 credit for each person. Yippie $1.

Also using cake provided. My reception site uses Audrey's, which I've heard is very good, so it's one less thing to worry about (and one less expense!). If I had any doubts about the baker though, I would have bought another one.

We are using the one our reception hall is providing. Well, it's not really just providing a plain ol cake, we do get to give our input to the baker about what we would like, but it's just cheaper this way.

I used the cake provided by the hall -- it was beautiful and tasted great. Would have been a big ole waste to buy one on my own! Have you checked with past brides at your hall to hear if they were happy with their cakes?

We'll probably use the cake provided by our hall. I looked into buying a cake at another location, but the prices were outrageous!

Our cake is included - one less thing to spend extra money on in my opinion
