Wedding Ceremony and ring question??

Okay...I was just thinking....I just bought my wedding ring and it's a wrap style....There's a top and bottom and they are connected and then you drop your E-ring into the middle....When we get married does he just put on the wedding ring or should he put the E-ring inside like it's supposed to be
