wedding change

Hey all...after many days and long hours researching on the computer we have decided to cancel the wedding on staten island and have it in Aruba. It was something that we have been contemplating since we got engaged but we thought we would be inconveniencing too many people. It is our day and we really have to do what we want. So one of my girlfriends and I are going in Novemeber to check the resort out ...the Renaissance ...it's beautiful...has anyone been there? What does everyone thing about the decision i made ...Oh i think i will still be an 08er though!!!! i'm so excited

p.s there's only one problem ...we havent told my grandmother about it ( she doesnt fly) somehow i have to convince her to get on a plane...any ideas?

oh my gosh!!! congrats! I wish I could afford something like that. FH always mentions getting married in the caribbean or hawaii. But good for you! GREAT CHOICE!

as for your grandma..give her the statistics about how more people die in car accidents or something...tell her it will be the only day you will ever get married...lay on the guilt...grandmas will usually sayyes! haha <3

As for your grandma - i completely understand . . . I could never have a DW since my whole family is like that - they even complained that my wedding is too far out on LI!!!

But I am sure she will make an effort to be there for you!!

actually i will be saving a ton of money having it in Aruba ...like 30,000!! it's very reasonable plus they do everything for you ! the photog, flowers, food ...etc so i do not have to worry about anything
