Wedding Cleaning/Steaming

Wedding Cleaning/Steaming

Hey ladies, does anyone have any recommendations on a place to take my dress to get cleaned/steamed before the big day? I ordered my dress online, so I can't just have my dress place do it. TIA!

I registered for a hand steamer from Bed Bath Beyond for my shower and I plan on using that for the girls and tuxes.. although I'm sure they will come pressed! you could do that if you wanted to DIY or trying any store that sells wedding gowns. they will most likely alter them as well. hth!

Anywhere that sells wedding gowns probably.. call around. Definitely do not go to your regular dry cleaner.. I've heard horror stories of dresses being ruined.

My seamstress is steaming mine. If you need a seamstress, mine is amazing. Rosie's Tailoring in Centereach :)

This! I will be using her as well. She is very nice and reasonably priced. She is going to be doing my alterations and her cost will be slightly cheaper than where I bought my dress.

Be careful with steaming your own dress - some fabrics need to be ironed and not steamed. My gown can not be steamed, it's Organza and needs to be hand ironed.
