WEDDING COORDINATOR

IS ANYONE USING A WEDDING DAY COORDINATOR? I WOULD LIKE TO HIRE ONE BUT DON'T KNOW WHERE TO LOOK.

A wedding coordinator is someone who can help you plan your wedding from A to Z.

They can help you with booking vendor's, making appts for vendor's, making sure everything is in place the day of to keep you from freaking out about every little detail.
They help you with favors, invites, rehersal dinners..

It really depends on what kind of help you need.

Prices vary, I've talked to WC's that charge $1,000's and some that are much more budget friendly.

I am using Rosalie from Wedding Expressions, (she is a vendor on here) and she is WONDERFUL!, very thoughtful and has alot of access to some very helpful information.

Whoever you choose, please take time to make sure that you, your FH and your families really click with this person and trust her to do what YOU want, not what everyone else does and not what is best for her.

You're trusting this person with your wedding day, after all.

ETA: Keep in mind, this vendor will be extremely visible and will interact directly with your family, BP, officiant, etc. Her conduct, personality, attitude, etc. all reflect upon you.

I am using Laura from LA Productions and she is wonderful and so helpful. They do everything and anything for you on the day of your wedding.

We're using Maryellen from Scarlet Peterson Productions for our day of wedding coordinator. She's wonderful!

OH. I wanted to hire someone to help with just the day of the wedding. Like making sure all the favors are out correct. Making sure the appropriate family is in the pictures and being in charge of making sure the whole place is set up correctly.

I wanted a DOC for the same type of reasons. I hired Rosalie from Expressions Events (vendor here). If you want her to help you with pre-wedding planning she will, but if you only need her the day of to make sure things are going well and check on things like favors and stuff she will do that too.

Shes been great so far and Im so relieved she'll be there on my day to worry about all the details for me!

After interviewing a few vendors on here...We hands down went with Jodi! She is wonderful! Jodi goes above a beyond a 'Day of Coordinator'.
We met with two and contacted three. Of the three (one a vendor on here) never picked up the phone to call us AND in e-mails...get this...she typed my FH's name different each time... Once Rich, once Jeff...hmmm...attention to detail! Another was wonderful on the phone, but in person there was no connection.

Good luck and be picky! This is an important vendor!

Does anyone have a list of questions to ask or what did you have your DOC responsible for on that day?
