I would like to make some things for the wedding, which can help on our budget. What are some things you have made for your wedding? How did you do it and what was the cost? Please post pics. Thanks!

I will be making my menus. i only did a sample. I'm printing on cardstock which is inexpensive and printing three menus per sheet. The only other cost will be ribbon to tie on the top.

I'm making: Save the Dates Menus Cry packs for the church Pew bows Wedding Programs Place card candles bridal sneakers card holder (mailbox) and MAYBE wrapping the favors. I just came to a final decision on my Save the Dates yesterday. I'll post a picture later. Here is a picture of my old menu. I'm changing it a little bit. My wedding color has changed and I'm not doing the bow on top anymore.
i made- std's hotel cards favors rice throws with basket (just put ribbon on it) placecards

I've alreayd made engagment announcements and Thank yous.Not very expensive at all, but I bought a enw printer cartridge.
I'm planning on making my invites and menus.
I might make my own soap favors or candy!
Maybe place card holders (those candle ones)
I saw someone on here make her own cake topper. It looked just like her and FH, it was amazing.
Some brides make thier own veils. You can make your own favors and centerpieces...there's a lot you cna do if you have time..ribbon wands. You can cover a regular notebook in satin for a guestbook! Almost anything you can buy you can make!
ETA: You'll get GREAT ideas on the board..SO many talented women!

So far I made my wedding announcements. Then I plan to make my own std's, menus, placecards, and table numbers. You should check out the crafts board here. They have some pretty good ideas!!

i made save the dates
for ceremony the programs crypacks tied bows on bubbles putting flowers on the pew bows
for reception made a dozen flower pens for wishbowl making wishbowl cards making Cd favors that are doubling as placecards thinking about making snowflake ornaments for a favor but need to find an idea first making menus making table numbers(getting frames and putting picture with the number and naming the tables after things) wrapping whatever favor i pick

my mom is making all the gowns and centerpieces.

I made my cry packets ($20 for 100) and I'll be making my programs. I feel like I've done more, but that's all I can think of at the moment. ANother way I've saved money is by getting some of the stuff myself instead of from the florist (votive holders and candles, runner, fabric for chuppa, pew bows- actually using fake flower pomanders)

Since we are not doing favors and making a donation instead, I still want my guest to have something...so i am making jordan almond flowers and attaching a card that says: in lieu of a favor a donation has been made...
Lets see... I made unity candle flower girl bucket RB 'pillow' flower pens pew bows ribbon wands STD hotel bags bathroom baskets RD invite BM luncheon invite Menus and a few other things...

I need to make my FG basket but I can't spray paint it if it's raining!!!!! ARGH!! I knew I should have done it yesterday just to get it out of the way!!
Once I paint it, I still need to decorate it.

I made my centerpieces which turned out ga-ga-gorgeous and my broom for the jumping the broom part of the ceremony that's enough for now...back to the shopping online!

how did you make that netting? ive seen it advertised for like $1 a flower but id love to make it myself for less...

We are making...
Our programs( they look like show playbills) Rehersal dinner invites ( they look like theatre tickets) are making chocolate truffles for favors and my mother is making our ribbon wands
