Re: Wedding Date
we had to kind of work around a few people---my dad has a seasonal business (He does Sprinklers Installations) (IN case anyone is in need of sprinklers at their house!) SO that knockd out the Spring..and then we decided on October, but had to make sure no Jewish holidays...and then we got great prices forHalloween Night...so that made up our mind!

Re: Wedding Date
We first chose the only month w/no holidays, birthdays, etc. (October) then choose the 12th cuz we thought somebody may get that Monday (Columbus Day) off.

Re: Wedding Date
We picked october first, then the first weekend so the weather will still be nice.

Re: Wedding Date
I have terrible allergies so anything spring was out. I could just picture it a bride walking down the aisle and having a sneezing fit and an asthma attack.
We wanted nice weather (not too hot not too cold) so we wanted between summer and fall. September was perfect. The date is at the end of the summer but beginning of fall so the leaves are a mix of greens and some changing into the fall colors. It wont be too hot like 90 or above and it wont be too cold like 50 or below. So its just perfect for us.

Re: Wedding Date
FH didn't want to wear a tux in hot weather and I didn't want to get married in the summer either so we picked February. We started dating in February so we thought it would be a nice time. I just feel bad for all our guests coming from Florida. They are going to freeze their buns off. Maybe we'll give them sweaters as favors.

Re: Wedding Date
Boop that's so funny. We picked November because FH does not like being dressed up in the heat. It was funny because every place we went had the date available so we decided it was just meant to be.

Re: Wedding Date
We picked 9/27/03 because:
1) it gave us time to save $$ (we were engaged on 7/7/02).
2) It didn't interfere with any communions, graduations etc
3) september weather is usually beautiful!! (i hope!)

Re: Wedding Date
We picked it cuz it's when FI's club closes for a few weeks so he can take that time off without losing anything. We really wanted summer so we could do Ireland for the HM, but we are probably going to Grand Cayman instead and I think we'll be okay

Re: Wedding Date
A month not too hot, not cold.
So it was May 17th however, alot of people have communions in May so some people couldnt attend cause of this

Re: Wedding Date
Originally I wanted late June, but after last summer I deceided I couldn't stand for it to be so hot on my wedding day. I felt May, April, & September were very busy months for me & FH, with birthdays & other things. So October was the only month I felt like I could fit it in to without being so cold. I knew I wanted a Friday, so October 3 worked perfectly! I also have some werid feeling about #'s(don't ask, I'm just narotic) & I like that it is 10/03/03 because there are two 3's. I know, I'm NUTS!

Re: Wedding Date
We picked Sept for 2 reasons.
1. The weather is usually mild. 2. My mothers side of the family all lives out of town (NJ, CA, FL, NC, etc) and my grandfathers birthday was at the end of Sept. He would have been 100 and I didnt want the family to have to travel for our wedding and his birthday (he lived in South Jersey) in the same year.

Re: Wedding Date
That was the best date we can get on short notice in the room we wanted! It was supposed to be a year later but FFIL is sick and we didn't know what the situation would be by then. Also, it's a holiday weekend so most people don't have to be rushed to get up for work the next day!

Re: Wedding Date
Well, FI insisted that it be a Saturday night (and has the nerve to complain about spending too much for a reception hall! ) so we made our date the Saturday closest to our already existing anniversary - June 3rd is our anniversary now... June 5th will be our anniversary after next year! (Which means I have a BIG week coming up! )
