Re: wedding dates??
Most of the people coming are in LTRs or are married. We are giving the few single people an option of plus 1. Think it all depends on your numbers. We are trying to keep our numbers down and had considered not doing the plus one until we realized it was only about 5 people.

Re: wedding dates??
I'm inviting everyone over the age of 16 with a plus one. Then again, it will also help us ensure our minimum.

that makes sense. i would have to give out 23 plus 1's. out of the number only 4 people are actually in relationships. i realize things can change in 2 years but that means that 19 people at my wedding will be people i don't know. and when looking at priceing thats $2,300 that i could use for something else.

Re: wedding dates??
I am inviting everyone with a date. We figured out all the people we are inviting plus 1. My mom's friend went to a wedding recently and her son could not bring a date, and it was a big deal, and they werent even going to go. So instead of having people complain, we figured why not.

We are going to be doing plus ones for all adults (including our ferinds). It will also help us reach our minimum.

Re: wedding dates??
i think i am going to do this, although FH is against this... he thinks we shouldnt let our single friends invite a guest, unless they are dating someone, but i think it would be nice to at least let them have the option.

we are giving everyone a plus one, we are not having any kids at the wedding, so everyone is 21 or older, so they can all bring someone

Re: wedding dates??
We only did serious relationships and married couples. I rather my FH's (few) immature friends don't bring their one-night stand, flavor of the week to my wedding!

Re: wedding dates??
we knew we wouldnt have trouble hitting our min, and most of our friends are single (as in, not even dating someone casually) so we only invited people with a guest if they were in a serious relationship, in which case we invited their SO by name.
we pretty much treated any committed bf/gf relationship as 'serious' so as not to upset anyone.
Our friends and cousins mingled with eachother and had a great time. we didnt want our friends to bring random people just because they felt they were supposed to

Re: wedding dates??
Currently, in our planning, we have people we know are in LTR, engaged, or of course married invited wtih a guest. As it gets closer, that may change, but in the initial planning, if we invited all of our single friends with dates, our guest list would be over 200

Re: wedding dates??
Everyone over 21 will get a plus one so that I can ensure my minimum. We're having a small wedding anyway (100-125) so what's an extra 15 or so people.

Re: wedding dates??
we are only going to invite single's with a guest if they are in a LTR, getting engaged, getting married etc...If a friend has only been dating someone for two months by the time invites go out, oh well!! If i invite everyone plus a guest I will end up with about 200 people...
