We are finally up and running!!!! I figured I would start a new topic and see why everyone chose their wedding date.
Our date is 5.15.16 which was my original due date of our daughter although she came late we were anticipating her arrival of 5.15 now we will be looking forward to the same date again :) .

I have 678 days left :) we picked 9.4.16 just due to the fact that it was the Sunday before Labor Day. There is no other reason behind it.

We didn't really have a reason for picking the date, we just knew we wanted a spring wedding with an outdoor ceremony so we chose May and the 20th is the weekend before labor day. But we realized we also got engaged on the 20th (and FHs birthday is in May also).

We picked 11/11/16 for the fact that 11 is truly our lucky number. Not only are we BOTH born on September 11th (a year a part) my mom and both are aunts are born on 11ths as well. It truly feels like fate that we both had this 11 connection and couldn't be happier to make 11/11 the best day of our lives! It's also Veterans Day so people can make a nice long weekend of it can't wait for it to be here already! Enjoying every minute of the planning!

We picked the date based on what season for our budget. Originally we wanted fall, but saved a little by going with summer and so we picked the last Friday considered summer. We didn't have a special date in mind that we wanted. But it'll be a special date soon!

We chose our wedding date because 7 is our favorite number. We met on January 7th, his bday is February 7th & my bday is August 7th. We checked the 2016 calendar & the only 7 that landed on a Saturday was in May. It was perfect because I love all the spring flowers & we would really like an outdoor ceremony. I can't wait

I wanted our wedding date to mean something and FH didn't like the idea of getting married on our anniversary (Feb 27th) because of the snow and possible travel issues. We wanted a Saturday evening wedding. So I compromised and went with April 23 which is the day before we got engaged.

739 days to go! So we both wanted a fall wedding and orginally planned on October but realized by going to November rates dropped significantly. We picked 11-4-16 and actually our dating anniversary is July 4th so it's kinda nice our wedding date will also be a day that's a 4th lol. :)

I'm gonna crash this thread as a 2015 bride. I wanted an october date, 10.4, but that was taken. 4.10.11 is our dating anniversary and I like numbers that mean something. We ended up going with 11.14 which is 4+10, and I like that it's 11.14.15, as a nice pretty, and sort of relelvant number. Hopefully some leaves will still be around to fulfill my fall wedding dreams!

I'm also getting married on 5/15/16! I always wanted a May wedding and FH first told me he loved me on 5/15, 3 years ago, so 5/15/16 will be a meaningful and perfect day to get married!

We said we wanted a fall wedding since we both love everything that comes with it. Fairs, changing leaves, football, etc so thats why we went with 11/5/2016 :)

Our date is completely arbitrary. We originally chose 5.14.16 (also arbitrarily), but when the Thatched Cottage went under, I felt adamant that we pick a new date. Also, April was more affordable at our new venue.

Fun fact for you, this is a perfect square day. January, April and September are the only months that this would occur, and brides will have to wait until 2025 to get their year to square again. I wanted to pick 4.9.16 (2 squared, three squared, four squared), because I'm a nerdy math person, but I didn't want it to be too early. And 9.4 is my sister's birthday. :-P

We originally wanted 11/11 because 11 is my lucky number (and FH didn't care). We then switched to March because it would save us some money and decided on 3/25 to catch the best weather. 12 hours before putting the deposit down, we found out it would be Good Friday and our mothers flipped out so we had to switch to 3/18. We originally weren't happy about this AT ALL (its a week earlier and might have worse weather + the day after St. Patrick's Day)...... but then we realized it would be the anniversary of our first kiss -- so I guess it all worked out alright :)

We were super flexible and love the date 7/3/2016! July 4th falls on a Monday so most places charge Sunday pricing for a date that is ultimately a Saturday night! Excited and happy the 2016 board is now finally up and running!!
