wedding day coordinator

wedding day coordinator

As everyone else on here, I have heard that Laura from LA productions is worth every penny. However, I am just wondering if I need to spend an extra $1,000 when we have already spent so much money. I have everything booked (pretty much) and I think I could use some help with arranging wedding votives, etc. Opinions from brides-to-be and vendors are welcome (and appreciated)!

Ok I realize that I need to go and arrange votices for people and bring a sewing kit for a thousand bucks a day!!!!

Nah.. all kidding aside if it will make you feel better about things either assign a trust worthy guest or consider hiring her.

I would make a list of the actual things you would need done. Maybe if it is as simple as arranging you could get a teen guest to do it or better yet bring a friend to do it... they will do anything for a chance to dress up and dance and eat free food

I answered your post on the other thread too....but in case you did not go back to it (since I tend to post late sometimes)

As for the coordinator, George Jr. at Giorgios recommended Laura (Laurie ?) from LA Productions. Brides on here have used her so I'm sure they can give you all the details about her services and fees.

I am considering using a day of coordinator. This is simply because I do not want to put family members in charge of things i.e. making sure the votive place cards are set up and lit just before the reception, taking pics and having people sign the polaroid guestbook, handing out petal cones, yelling at any vendor that does not have EXACTLY what I requested (just in case) handing out programs, hading out cry packs, making sure the intros are done, making sure our MUST HAVE songs are played, helping me with my dress (bustle).

I want all of the guests to have fun instead of worrying about my details. I hear it's worth it to hire someone but I have not yet investigated the fee.

I second that. You don't have to spend $1,000 to have coordinator and wonderful one to boot. Feel free to FM me as well.

Me too. I used DH's cousin, who is just starting out, but she was amazing and so detail-oriented. I was planning from a distance and she helped with every detail.

Having her there the day of was probably the best decision I made and she decided to start doing it professionally because she loved it and was sooo good at it. She coordinated everything and the day was flawless.

FM me if you want her contact information.

Good luck!!
