Wedding Day Coordinator

Thinking about getting a day of coordinator. Any recommendations?? I am totally clueless about the price of one too.

Thank you!

Re: Wedding Day Coordinator

Price varies for services.

Day of Coordinators I find are typically, 500-1000 for one day. The higher the price, usually, the more reputable they are.

Full service ranges, depending on what you want to do. The cheapest I've found is 2,000 the more expensive ones start at 8,000.

I'm interviewing a bunch, but I'm finding that the really good ones are already taken for the rest of 08

If your looking at the vendors here, take this advice. Search the 'Brides Review' forum for coordinators.

I found out, a little late, that the coordinator I first hired had not one good review in the Bridal Reviews, and yet they were a member since 2004.

if you post on vendors helping brides...you'll get a ton of FM from different doc's....and then you can start weeding them out based on reviews, cost, etc.

All the good ones are not taken, the ones always talked about are b/c they are always talked about and the ones that are considered good will change every year..one or two may stay around as 'the best' but it changes every year

Actually, what you stated about price is far from true. Vendors do not charge based on their reputablity. They charge what they want. I saw really crappy vendors that charged an arm and a leg, but a better vendor charged less. When someone is doing well and making a lot of money they can usually afford to charge less.
And yes reviews are helpful, but I based picking one of my vendors on that, and it didn't work out very well.

I highly recommend Ryan from Above and Beyond she's amazing to work with. A friend is using her for her May wedding, and seriously, Ryan has gone above what I ever thought a DOC would do, and its not even the wedding yet
