Wedding Day Hair

So I saw my hair girl yesterday to cut a few inches off my hair and I decided to ask her about my wedding day plans...

Background info: My ceremony is 12 noon on 09/07/13. My FH and I decided to arrive at Flowerfield's 2 hrs before ceremony to get a lot of the pictures out of the way...and so we can enjoy our cocktail hour! In order to arrive at Flowerfield's around 9:30 AM I need to leave my home in Elmont no later than 8:15-8:30 AM. This means I have to get up VERY early to get my makeup and hair done.

When I explained my wedding morning plans to my hair girl she said she needed to bring in another girl to help with the number of people who want their hair done. I have Me, my mom and 3 bridesmaids who want to get their hair done at the same place I will.

The other girl said she would come in at that time, but she is going to charge my BM's $90 each! I may be sounding cheap right now, but this sounds kinda steep!

1) Am I being stupid and this is a typical going rate for bridesmaids in the same situation? and 2) Does anyone know of any hair girls that would be willing to do hair early for any less (preferably in the Valley Stream/Lynbrook/Elmont area)???

It is a little steep but they are probably charging extra bc of the time. They do this bc the hairstylist will not only have to get up early but also she can't do anything late the night before.

Crashing- I don't think $90 is bad t all. My girls are paying $100 and they were ok with the price. For my cousins wedding her hair stylist charge $125 and up depending on what they had done.

my friend had us get our hair done at a salon she worked at at the time of the wedding. it was a sun AM and it was like 6 am too. we thought we were getting a discount. it ws $125. we were all sooo pissed. lol

I think $90 isn't bad. Although they are the bridesmaids they are still getting their hair done and it takes just as much time, skill and energy. Sometimes stylists inflate the bride's price in order to give a discount to the bridal party. My stylist is charging $85 across the board.
