Wedding day makeup without foundation

Has anyone gotten their makeup professionally done without foundation? Is anyone thinking about getting it done like that for their wedding? I'm not a fan of foundation at all... do you think it would take away from your whole look?

well, i know for myself that although i dont wear it everyday, i do need it to even out my skin tone

i don't wear foundation but for the wedding I will, otherwise my skin will look uneven and ill look washed out

I know alot of people hate foundation, have you tried airebrushing? its a lot lighter feeling than foundation.

ive had both and at the time, the airbrush didnt bother me and it felt fine, but when i look at the pics, it made me look too white and pale

I did the airbrushing thing, but my problem is, I have oily skin...and having my wedding in July isn't going to help that....after I had my trial on friday, my FH said that it looked beautiful, but he said I looked really 'greasy' powder doesn't help it either, it just makes the makeup feel more caked on after a while....my skin is fairly even toned on its own...I don't know...I just don't want to feel uncomfortable on my day...and I don't want FH thinking i'm all greasy on that day

was the airbrush silicone or water based...if its silicone then that is what will cause it to look greasy, water based is better

I'm not sure....I'll probably use a little foundation. I've worn foundation like twice in my life...both in HS trying to cover an occasional pimple lol I HATE the way it feels on my face and thankfully don't need it. Try to ask them to 'go light' lol

also when they did regular make up its probably the products they are using...maybe try bare minerals

thanks for the advice, I think i'll definitely ask about bare minerals...and also, ask that they apply my foundation lighter....

they have the make up kits for bare minerals at sephora if you want to try or go to a place that does it.

Did she ask if your skin was oily and was it brought up? the same type of make up cant always be used on everybody bc of their skintone. Sometimes i noticed that MU wont always pay attention to this or ask

who does water based?

sorry dont know what kind of airbrush mia uses. I had water based airbrush done with maureen pedala and she explained to me theres 3 types of airbrush and what the difference is between each one.
