I was just at the nail salon and the lady who works there said to get a perm. french for the wedding. Can someone describe what this is and if they are planning on getting it for their wedding too? Thanks girls

Re: wedding day nails
I had a permanent french manicure for basically our whole engagement ... its done with a uv gel,and in my opinion looks more natural than other things like wraps and tips.
It doesn't crack or chip easily, and stays for about 2-3 weeks (depending on how fast your nails grow), so it'll be good for your honeymoon too.
Here's a pic

Never got them but I think it's tips that have a french manicure design on them so no polish necessary. HTH
Maybe I'm wrong

Wow that's a beautiful pic of your nails! I'm sold- that's what I want to get! Does it take some getting used to? Should I start getting it like a month before?

They are the best. They aren't painted so they won't chip! It's best to get the UV gel put over them, it dries in 3 minutes.

Personally I would get them done right before. The white tip eventually grows out and it's a pain to get them redone.

The ones I have had are dry as soon as they are done working on you ... that's one of my favorite things about it -- you can't smudge them b/c they're totally dry!
The whole thing is made of gel ... a clear (or lt. pink) gel, and then a white gel for the french part of it.
And they're not tips ... I know there are tips that look like a french manicure, but that is not the UV Gel.
