I am having my wedding reception atThe Metropolitan in September which is in Glen Cove. The hall had promised they would get us a permit to take pictures at Morgan Park which is 2 minutes from the hall. PS, the permit was denied. Any suggestions where we could take pictures at? The hall has no outdoor grounds so that is not an option. For reasons to complicated to explain, it needs to be close to the Glen Cove area. TIA!!

Re: Wedding Day Photo locations- help!
hmmm Ive always wondered if you can take pics at the St. Josaphat's Monastery. it looks amazing. It's in lattingtown which isnt too far.
We took our e-pics in Morgan Park without a permit. When in September are you getting married? If post-Labor day, you can probably just walk right in, no permit required.

Re: Wedding Day Photo locations- help!
Do you know why it was not approved? That seems a but mean. FYI Special Morgan Park Permits
A special permit is required for all residents of Glen Cove and Locust Valley who wish to have wedding photographs taken at Morgan Park. Groups of 15 or more people also require a permit. A request should be made in writing at least 30 days in advance of the proposed date. If the date is approved, the resident will be required to sign a hold harmless waiver and a permit will be issued. Any non-resident who will be attending a gathering at Morgan Park should present a copy of this permit to the gate attendant upon entrance into the park.

The hall, because they are the 'resident' requested the permit for us. We were told it was denied because there is an actual wedding ceremony taking place in the park followed by pictures at the same time we needed the park.
