Wedding Day Scheduling

How long before the start of the wedding ceremony is everyone having their photographer arrive to take pictures at your home? what about the limos?
My wedding is at 3 pm and I was just wondering what is standard for the limos to arrive and the photographer? I only live two blocks from the church so travel time is pretty much non-existant.
Thanks!

Re: Wedding Day Scheduling

Great Question! I am looking to see what everyone does too.

I guess it depends on how many pictures you want to take at home when you should have the photographer there. I think I rather take pictures with my bridal party at the hall or church not my house (no pretty grounds!). I am getting ready at my aunt's less than 10 minutes from my church.

Re: Wedding Day Scheduling

My church is at 2 p.m. and my photographer is leaving at 12:30 p.m. He is going to shoot for about 40 minutes at my house. My Limos are leaving at 1:45, since I leave four blocks from the church I do not need alot of time to get there.

Re: Wedding Day Scheduling

Mine is coming one hour before, but my florist said that is not time for them to set up and take pictures. Even though my church is at 3, we have to leave before. I have to call them.

Re: Wedding Day Scheduling

My church is at 3:30pm. My photogrpaher is coming at 2:30pm. Limos are going to pick up FH first at 2:50, then me at 3:15 I think. I live about 2 miles from the church.

Re: Wedding Day Scheduling

I'm 3 blocks from my church and my ceremony starts at 3pm. My photographer wrote on the contract that he would be there at 1pm sharp.

I don't know about the other vendors yet. If I decide to have the videographer come to the house, he will get there an hour before the photographer.

Re: Wedding Day Scheduling

My photographer came 2 hours before the ceremony and that was perfect. He only needed 1 hr, 15 min. to shoot. That was from 11:30AM - 12:45PM.
Our ceremony was at 1:30PM so I had the limos come at 1:00PM to pick up the BMs and take them down, then come back for me.
This worked out perfectly & I would highly recommend it. It gave me some breathing room between picture taking and my wedding ceremony!!! You will need a little time - you want to enjoy every minute - not rush through it.

Oh, and my church was also 5 blocks from my house so commute time was non-existent.

Re: Wedding Day Scheduling

My ceremony starts at 4 PM - the photographer will arrive at 2 PM for pictures (I want to get as many out of the way as possible). The limo will p/u FH at 2:45 PM, then drop off at church, then pick me up at 3:30.
