Wedding Day Timeline

Hi Girls,

So I've been trying to figure out my wedding day timeline, and right now it looks like in order to be ready on time, I need to get my hair done at 9:30 in the morning. My wedding is at 5 pm. Does this seem INSANE to anyone? Is this normal? I'd love thoughts/suggestions/other people's timelines...

thank you!!

We are taking pictures before the wedding - from 3:30 - 4:30...I guess that is part of the problem...

I'm afraid I'm going to be totally bedraggled by the time we get to the actual wedding!

My ceremony started at 5:30pm and we started hair at 9am but we did pictures before. I had 1 Mother, 4 BM's, 4 kids, & me getting hair/makeup done and we finished at about 2:15pm. I would say it depends on what time you need to be ready and how many girls you have

Well atleast I don't feel like I'm crazy...

I have 4 BM's and my mom. We're getting hair done at the salon and makeup done at home...Also I left a little bit of time to eat lunch...maybe I should give up eating?! Ummm no.

Personally I think you should keep it at the time you have I would rather have too much time at the end to relax then to be running late!

My ceremony is at 6:30 but I plan to start about 9 am. I need to go there and set that up, which you just reminded me. I have a lot of people getting done though. We are doing pics about 2-2:30. I have 4 women, 2 girls, me and the 2 mothers that need hair and some with makeup. You don't want to feel pressured and rushed. I am can't stand a time crunch and the stress of it.

Ok here is my opinion....

I was in a bridal party where we started at 9am. We went to a salon and were all done by around 10:30am. We then had lunch, got dressed and took pictures.....and there was ALOT Of down time. It was alittle nervewracking actually. It was just like waiting and waiting and waiting to start! We were holed up for a few hours there! I think later is better but thats just me!

(PS - I am getting up at 5am and have an 11am ceremony. 5am-8am hair and makeup, 9-10:30 start pictures, 11 ceremony!)

Thanks Jenn, that is what I am afraid of. I'm planning extra time because it is a weekend after memorial day in the hamptons, so that complicates everything, but I think i might at least push things back a half hour to an hour...

I think that's a bit early, your makeup and hair won't be fresh by the time you walk down the aisle

I think that seems pretty normal. All of the weddings that I have been in were around the same time. Fortunately my wedding is not until 6:15pm...

I think it depends on the style you are getting done. Also if your hairstylist is doing your hair first then the rest of your BP. She has to have time to do your BP's hair too.

My wedding is at 4pm. The photog will be at parents house at 1:30pm. SO I think I'll have my hair and mak-up done at 10:00am or 10:30am.
