one of my co workers is getting married next September and wants to start wedding dress shopping next weekend and was wondering how far in advance she should make an appt. I am not at that point yet so I figured I would check here. Thanks.

it depends on the store... tell her to call they will give you one this weekend it depends on how picky she is with times

I called on a thurday & got a Saturday appointment at the Bridal Garden, but not at David's.
For a weeknight I also called a few days early, Tuesday for Thursday, I think.You cold always go to RK or Estelle's ot Jessica McClintock without an apointment.
