Hi, this may seem like a sillie question but I was wondering if anyone if having like a coat or something you can put over your dress, in case you spill something on it. Thanks!

I think my reception hall said if I eat in the bridal suite for the cocktail hour they will drap a large cloth over me. As for the reception, I will just try real hard not to feed my boobs as I usually do and bring lots of Shout Wipes. :)

Before you use Shoot wipes on your gown, ask the bridal store. Shout may stain some fabrics. Seltzer is also a great thing to get a stain out BUT I read that if you spill something on your gown you should first blot it with a clean paper towel, then put baby powder on it. And then have it professionally dry cleaned. You may want to avoid anything 'red' such as red wine or sauce while in your gown. And I think the drape is a nice idea. Call your reception site and ask about it. If not, just purchase a beach sized towel. I am wearing a wrap since it will be Nov. and might be cold. But I am not wearing it to protect my gown.

My bridal attendant gave me a table cloth to wrap around me in the bridal suite during cocktail hour (not that you eat too much anyway). I was hysterical laughing because it looked like a big napkin tucked and I looked pretty funny sitting there. But it was a good idea because my beloved DH was a bit tipsy and almost dropped a plate of fried calamari w/red sauce on me! Bad enough he dropped it all over the floor and the bottom of my dress was the broom, but whatever. Ask your catering hall to give you something to cover yourself with. No need to spend extra money on something you're never going to use again. That's funny, that explains all the money spent on the whole day! LOL :-)
