I think once you go you will enjoy it, if you are planning on loosing weight explain that to the sales assocaite and try to picture you w/ the weight dropped.
Once you get the dress i bet that will be your motivation for losing the weight.
Good luck, keep us posted

Re: wedding dress...

Like you, I was dreading wedding gown shopping! I have always been a chubby girl [and lately- chubbier than ever!] and I was not looking forward to what my body would look like in the most important piece of clothing that I would ever have to buy!!

So, I decided to go by myself and check out a few stores. Let me tell you, I was amazed! The type of dresses that I was looking at, all looked great on me!! And I am not one to say that any garment looks great on!! Lol. But since I have huge hips and thighs but a relatively small waist, I figured that an A-line gown would look great. And it did! The problem ended up being narrowing it down to which one I really loved the most!!

So, listen...do not wait! Like the other girls said, you do not need the stress of finding your wedding gown 3 months before your wedding! Plus you need time for alterations. You'll have a million other things to worry about! Do yourself a favor and just go look. You will be suprised at how fantastic you look! Even when the sample size doesn't fit! The bridal consultants clip you in and you will look awesome!! Look in my album under 'The Dress' and look at the last pic. That was a sample and it was being held together by clips in the back. It still looks pretty great! Either way, David's does have a quick turn around since they make all of their own dresses. Good luck! Keep us posted on what you decide to do!
