Anyone have good suggestions on where to go to buy the wedding dress? Somewhere that does the alterations properly and has great customer service?

bridal suite of centereach. I purchased my dress there in October and I got a call a couple of weeks ago that it's in. They said I can come visit it anytime and they will hold it there for no charge.
The shopping experience was great. I never felt pressured into buying a dress and I've read great reviews about their alterations dept.

It really depends on the designer. I went there knowing I wanted a Maggie dress (they have trunk shows there often). The sales girl told me Maggie dresses can take 6-9 months to come in. But it's never too early to shop. As for fittings my first fitting is going to be after Christmas so that we don;t have to take it in and possibly take it out later.

Bayshore Bridal Suite definitely! Love them service wise ( I had 4 fittings!) and affordable alterations

Another for Bridal Suite of Centereach. They made the shopping experience enjoyable and no pressure. I worked with Laura and she is actually the one that pulled my dress. She tried a bunch and found a dress that incorporated all of the things I liked about all of the other dresses.

I had a great experience with Village Bridal, although I was a little turned off when I went to RK Bridal and they had the SAME BM dress for $75 less.
I got my dress, BM dresses and all Mom dresses at RK bridal, and Nadine was fantaaaaastic!

I'm not sure what they start at but the most expensive they have there was 2,500. But most of the dresses I picked were 1,500 and under

Angel Bridals in East Islip. I looked at dresses ranging from 1000-1500. The seamstress is amazing !!
