Wedding Dress Colors

Wedding Dress Colors

Hello Ladies,

I ordered my gown last week in Ivory and Champagne......what do you all think of those colors for a wedding dress? I am hoping it is not too daring and that I am not straying from the typical white.

They are pretty common colors. I dont know how they look together. I have seen a lot of dresses in gold.

no unfortunately, the website of the designer only shows the dress in white with black embroidery...I know...not the prettiest...I am going to see if I can post a pick of a dress with similar colors...I just thought I would always wear pure white...but I loved the dress....I just am afraid people will see me walk down the aisle and say 'what???'

I bought my dress in light gold.
A much more flattering color on me than white, diamond white and even ivory.

So your dress is gold too? Do you happen to have a picture? I am trying to find one online similar to my gown....no such luck. The lady at the Bridal Salon says it is a very 'antique' look.

I don't have a picture of it, but it is in the Maggie Sottero website, Michelle dress.
Have to figure out how to post the pic.

Get to wear gold shoes too !

I just checked out your dress on the Maggie website...what a gorgeous dress....mine is not satin....it has tulle over the satin....strapless.....

here is a pic of a dress from the same designer with the same colors of my dress (this is not my dress)

so what do you think?

Very nice contrast of the two colors.
White is just too stark for me.

My dress is similar colors too. Not as dramatic, but it's ivory with brushed gold, and I am a little worried now too. I haven't seen my dress since NOvember when I ordered it, but it's very vintage, and that's what I wanted.

okay...so I am finding some other girls have similar colors....here is a pic of my actual dress....but the colors obviously are in the Ivory/Champagne....I think I will go to the salon and try it on one more time....I seem to see brides wearing only white...that is why I am getting nervous...I always second guess myself anyway

That is very similar to the style of my dress.. I'm impartial, but I think it will look great. It will be very vintage looking.

You are right...as long as I love it...my mom and sis loved it too....this was after trying on about 7 dresses...this one was perfect!

The dress is very beautiful, and the color combination you chose is striking.
As long as you are happy with the dress, and it looks good on you, that is what matters.
You will know when the dress is 'the one'

That's a beautiful dress, the ivory and champagne will look lovely on it!! You don't have anything to worry about, no one is going to think anything of you not wearing stark white.
