I just got off the phone with Kleinfelds after leaving a credit card to hold the app. they told me dresses start at $1800. Anyone know if they have dresses alitte less expensive?

They have every type of dress that you can think about. I been looking at the site for a very long time. I only Like it cause it tells you all the places of where you can get the dress from.

If you are going to Kleinfeld's, check out the Bridal Garden in NYC.
They have listings for many bridal sample sales that are going on.
At the sample sales, you can find dresses for $1,800 and below.

I just got my wedding dress from commack wedding center... I didnt see anything over 1,000... I tried on lots of gorgeous dresses.. everything under $800

I got my dress from the Commack Wedding Center also, and so did my sister. They were both less than $1000. Mine was $850 including tax. I had a great experience there. Ask for Helene.

Kleinfelds is the creme of the crop when it comes to wedding gowns. They only carry the top couture designers and therefore you wont find dresses under $1800. From what I know they are a very busy store and charge you $50 if you dont show up for your appointment or cancel within 24 hours of your appointment. If your not looking to buy a couture dress, I would look elsewhere.

you should go to Kleinfelds and if you see a dress you love, try to get it on netbride.com. I went to Macy's last weekend and found a Demetrios dress i loved - it was over $1000. I went on the Demetrios website later that day and found the style # for the dress. The quote I got from netbride.com was $630.

That's not true. I bought my dress from Kleinfeld's and it was $1200. They have an entire room of what they like to call 'low end' dresses. The dresses are beautiful, but they're not the $2000 + up dresses they would rather push/sell. Make the appointment and when you go just tell them your budget.

They pull out the low-end on sample sale days.
Some of their gowns are 'priced' lower than 1800, but after the alterations it will be way above.

Helene or Josephine at The Wedding Center are great! I was all set to order my dress from them until I saw that Bridesave was having 10% off all Maggie Sottero dresses, so I ordered it online to save more $$.
PS..in addition to Alfred Angelo, Maggie dresses are also quite reasonable.

I went to Macys Last week myself and saw a Demetrios dress liek I liked and it was $1850 I came home and called Pearls Place same gown $1110. Try Pearls place too Net bride was about $50more than Pearls and there is no tax and only $12 to ship it.

Another good site to check for discounted dresses is www.houseofbrides.com. We're ordering the BM dresses from there. They were $50 less than in the store, no tax and no shipping.

I went to Kleinfeld's this weekend. On the phone they told me there is no dress under $1500. The lady I worked with said 'That's not true' and proceeded to show mw all different price ranges.

If you are not looking to spend top dollar don't go to kleinfeld's they are the top of the line..... you can find their dresses elsewhere (well some them) for cheaper
bridal reflections in massapequa carries manty of the same designers and they have dresses ranging from $1000-$6000
