wedding dress cost

I just got off the phone with Kleinfelds after leaving a credit card to hold the app. they told me dresses start at $1800. Anyone know if they have dresses alitte less expensive?

we must have spoken to the same woman! 'Dresses start at 1800 and a minimum of 600 for alterations' I should have cancelled the appt then but had heard so much about it, I wanted to go and see what the fuss was about.

I met with Sara and it was the shortest appt of all of my searching. I was able to find only 3 dresses in my price range to try on and was out in 30 mins.
I had a much better experience at RK Bridal, Lotus Bridal, and Wedding Salon.

try lillette's -- they had lots of dresses under $1800 and i think they cap alterations on wedding gowns at 300?

Try Village bridal in babylon (formally Lidia's bridal) My dress was only 780 bucks and it is SO AMAZING! The staff is great and the shop is beautiful.

The ask for a credit card because they charge you if you cancel an appt with less than 24 hours notice. You may be able to find a sample gown for under $1800

I couldn't rave enough about Kleinfelds. My daughter, who got married last week, picked up her dress from them last week and we couldn't have been happier with the salespeople and seamstresses. Our salewoman was Debbie who was wonderful as was Nicole, the director/manager of alterations. It was a wonderful experience dealing with them.
