I was wondering if any of you have bought wedding dresses online. I have been to many bridal boutiques but it seems that the prices are high for me. Am I being unreasonable because I don't want to pay much for a dress that I am going to wear for three hours. I also spent most of the budget on everything else, except for the dress. Can anyone please tell me which website is good to buy a wedding dress? Thanks

Re: Wedding Dress Dilemma
Does it really take long to order the dress? How long does it take to order the dress? I am loosing weight and I only have 15 more pounds to go. I want to loose it before I get my dress. Is it realistic to wait? Or which is more? Doing a rush order or the alterations?

some take up to ten months to come in, then alterations take some time too. must wedding dreses are custom orders, unless you buy a sample or a mass produced dress such as david's bridal

DON'T WAIT! I'm not sure what your budget is or how picky you are but you may be able to find a dress for less in the store. Almost all places cap alterations at a certain price $300+, then you also have to pay for a bussle, usually around $100-$150. I've found pretty $600 dresses in stores. But, you'd need to get ordering ASAP! You can also try a place like Estelles, you can buy it and walk out with it- but then you're on your own for alterations... Good Luck, Im honestly a little worried for you.

Re: Wedding Dress Dilemma
look into stores that are having sample sales. I know village bridal has a large rack of sample dresses for sale always. Sample dresses are less expensive and you don't have to worry about waiting for it to come in. Just will have to pay for alterations.

did you see a dress you like, YOu can call around and see who will give you the lowest price. That's what I did! One place said one price and another gave me $700 cheaper!

Re: Wedding Dress Dilemma
i felt the same but ended up getting my dress at a store.
i would suggest trying the identical dress on in a store before ordering online (the dresses i thought i'd love looked awful on me, and the one i thought i'd hate, i bought)
i would also make sure that you're really getting what you're paying for. A lot of internet dress stores sell imitation brands. just make sure you can return it if it's not what you were hoping for.
good luck

Try the Wedding Center in Commack... They have some really good prices... I have compared a few myself and I will be heading back to the wedding center!!! I would get a step on it... Some designers take longer then others!!!
