Wedding Dress Dilemna

I went yesterday to the bridal shop( in VA) to see my wedding dress and pay the remainder of the balance.
I had to try it on, didn't want to wait until the fitting. And I am lucky I did they ordered the wrong size. And the dress was huge. The seamstress even said it would be hard to alter to the right size.
The dress took 6 months to get in and they don't know if they can get another in before the wedding. I have no clue what to do!! I am waiting on the bridal shop to call me back with some type of resolution.

they can always put a rush on it....and since it was their fault it should not cost you a dime

So sorry to hear. Don't know if you saw my earlier post, but I just got back from trying on my dress again because I didn't just want to wait and see if it miraculously would fit later and somehow I convinced them to order me a bigger size and rush it for next week. I think they really felt bad and they know they messed up. I think your bridal salon should do the same since they were the ones that made the mistake. Call them again and see what they say. Don't wait for them.

They should be able to get a new dress in. My shop ordered my dress in the wrong color - it arrived seven months after I ordered it, which was four months before my wedding. They ordered a new one on a rush and it arrived about six weeks later. I haven't seen it yet but they assure me it is exactly what I ordered. I have my first fitting a week from today. Even if it's wrong, there's really nothing I can do at this point since my wedding is two months away.

Make them order again and put a rush on it - you should get it in time.
