How long does it typically take for the gown to come in once you order it - and then after that, to get your fittings done and have the dress altered? I haven't found my dress yet and my wedding is June 30th of this year. Am I in trouble???

It really depends on the maker. Some take as much as 8 -10 months, some less. You are def. cutting it very close at this point, but you can always pay extra $$ and have it rushed. HTH

they told me 10 months, but mine came in in 5 months

It depends on the designer. I would ask about delivery times up front. As an FYI alot of girls that ordered from RK Bridal got their dresses super fast. I bought mine right before Christmas and its due to be delivered in March if that helps.

I don't know about other places but at Kleinfelds they have it made to be delivered no more than 2 months before your wedding day. So if you want to check them out, you may still have time to order. The fittings are done from there on.

I ORDERED A MAGGIE SOTTERO. I WAS TOLD IT TAKES A MINIMUM OF 8 MONTHS.

I ordered my gown and it'll take from 6 to 8 months to come in. I'd say your really cutting it close.Get out there and find a dress girl. What are you waiting for?

well, I ordered mine the beginning of last may, and its still not in yet, so thats.... 8 months so far? You can always buy off the rack if you find a dress you love but don't have time to order it.

I would get to some stores and ask them specifically if there are designers that come in faster than others. I went shopping over christmas break and there was a girl getting married in july there and they were encouraging her to pick something asap! Good luck and keep us posted.

It really depends on the designer. I ordered my dress in early March and it came in mid-June for my late September wedding. I've heard other brides say that it could take 10 months or more.

I ordered mine from RK on Nov 4 and it came in on Dec 28.
